[Harvard China TREK 2024|Beijing Station]Enter the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences

   On January 17, 2024, a special event for the "2024 Harvard China Trip" to the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences was held in Beijing.

   Zhao Zhimin, Secretary-General of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, attended the event and delivered a speech. Zhao Zhimin emphasized that he hopes that the young scholars on the "Harvard China Tour" delegation can continue to pay attention to China, understand China deeply, present a true, open, and diverse China to the world, exchange feelings candidly with young Chinese scholars, and establish long-term connections and friendships. . Li Xinyu, Vice Chairman of Guoguan Think Tank, and Yuan Zheng, Deputy Director of the Institute of American Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, respectively spoke on this event and Sino-US relations. They came from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, China Development Fund Research Association, Asian Investment Bank, and China Science and Technology Development Strategy Research A number of young Chinese scholars from the Institute and other institutions conducted in-depth discussions with members of the "Harvard China Tour" delegation on topics such as targeted poverty alleviation, child development, world China studies, green energy, and technological innovation. Cui Jianmin, director of the Cultural Development Promotion Center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Liao Fan, deputy director of the International Cooperation Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, presided over the opening and exchange and discussion sessions of the conference respectively.

    This "2024 Harvard China Trip" special event at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences was co-sponsored by the Cultural Development Promotion Center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Guoguan Think Tank.

   Hi China International Youth Development Alliance is a youth organization initiated by Harvard alumni. It focuses on global competency development and people-to-people diplomacy. It is also the only non-governmental youth organization in China that has obtained special consultative status with the United Nations. It has organized Harvard China trips, youth growth plans, etc. .
